Seaton CarewWith its broad sandy beach, protected dunes, traditional amusement arcades, cafés, and fish and chips this makes Seaton Carew a popular resort for families.
The beach stretches over one mile in each direction from the resort centre allowing families enough space to enjoy beach games and peace and solitude to those who are seeking a more gentle respite. Cyclists can also enjoy the promenade, which affords easy access northwards to the Marina development.
The southern area of the beach leads to protected dunes, which are adjoined by Seaton Carew Golf Club, one of the first 50 courses built in the world. Continuing south, nature lovers can journey onto Seal Sands, home to common and grey seals and hundreds of species of migratory birds.
Seaton Carew is also home to a mixture of traditional seaside Guest-House accommodation as well as comfortable seafront Hotels.
Further south of here is the newly opened RSPB Centre; Saltholme, designed to bring people and wildlife closer together to create fun, learning and enjoyment for all. It is the RSPB's largest visitor centre in the UK.
Rain or shine Seaton Carew is well worth a visit, even on a wintry day fish and chips sat in the car watching the raging North Sea is a pleasure to behold.
