Built in 1896, the Town Hall Theatre is a beautiful Victorian/Gothic style theatre and has an exciting entertainment programme. Over this time it has introduced many generations to the delights of live theatre, both as spectators and performers.
The Theatre seats up to 400 and has its own stylish and contemporary bar. The facilities are extremely versatile meaning it is ideal for most events.
Complete with stage the Theatre is also an unusual venue for special occasions such as Gothic, Victorian or Theatrical style weddings...

How to book
Tickets for performances at the Town Hall Theatre (unless otherwise stated) are available from Hartlepool Art Gallery and Tourist Information Centre, Church Square, Hartlepool, TS24 7EQ. Open: - Tuesday to Saturday 10am – 4:30pm; Closed Sundays and Mondays.
Telephone (01429) 890000 to purchase tickets using your credit or debit card – there is a £1 charge for credit/debit bookings, including postage. Concessions apply to under 16s, over 60s, those claiming benefits, students and registered disabled. Group discount: for pre-booked groups of 10 or more (unless otherwise stated). No refunds will be given unless we are able to resell tickets on the night of the performance.

Parking
After 6pm there is free parking available to patrons of the theatre in the Lauder Street car park and the Grand Hotel car park on Swainson Street. For afternoon performances pay and display parking is available nearby at Mill House Leisure Centre and Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.
Access
The Town Hall Theatre is accessible via a ramp.
There is good access to the ground floor bar.
Accessible toilets.
Induction loop system available plus dedicated spaces for up to 12 wheelchairs. (The theatre does not have a lift). If you have special requirements, let us know when you book your seats.
Free parking only yards from the theatre (after 6pm).
Please note that the Town Hall Theatre has a no smoking policy. All running times are approximate and we would recommend you check before ordering transport home.
Late arrivers may be seated upstairs until the interval to avoid disturbance to others. No photography/filming or use of mobile phones during the performances please.
