Travel

Hartlepool is easy to reach from most areas - and once you get here, of course, everything is either within walking distance or a few minutes drive. Public transport links are also good - a route favoured by a lot of visitors is the coastal train journey from the north which is reason alone to travel here for a day out. Rail services run hourly from Newcastle in the North and Middlesbrough to the South and the town now enjoys a four times a day direct service to London delivered by Grand Central Trains which also makes Hartlepool a short journey from York. Contact the Tourist Information Centre for further details and timetables.
