What's going on in Hartlepool?

With so much heritage to celebrate, Hartlepool folk get together to honour age-old traditions and customs.

Carnivals, medieval pageants, horticultural shows and folk festivals are all enjoyed by Hartlepool's community spirited locals. Culture events also thrive with live theatre, art exhibitions, music festivals, car rallies and open-air concerts served up throughout the year.

The bi-annual Maritime Festival has grown in popularity to become one of the most anticipated events in this region.

2003 sees the first ever Youth Arts Festival which promises young people the opportunity to develop and display their creative talents.
