Written by Nick Lane and presented by Hull Truck Theatre Company
A story of friendship, fish pie and flick-to-kick football
Andy Green’s dad needs a recipe for toast. In short, he’s rubbish. Good at Subbuteo; hopeless with spaghetti. So when Andy’s mum dies, Andy moves back home with his dad to teach him how to cook.
Fighting memories- and occasionally each other, the pair boil pans, set grills on fire and worse in an attempt to prevent a diet of pickled beetroot and jam sandwiches. Can their relationship survive? Or is this is one kitchen nightmare even Gordon Ramsay couldn’t fix?
A brand new bittersweet comedy from the writer of My Favourite Summer (“Blissfully funny”- Daily Telegraph) and Blue Cross Xmas (****- What’s On Stage).
This play contains strong language.
