Summer Fun for Youngsters in Hartlepool
THERE’S a feast of fun in store for children under five and their families at a host of summertime activities at Hartlepool’s Sure Start Children’s Centres from now until the end of August.
Teddy bears' picnics, children and parents' cooking sessions, story times and action rhymes to music are just some of events being organised by the centres, which are 'one-stop-shops' giving help and advice to young families.
All the activities are free but places at the sessions (except for the Well Baby Clinics, Baby Talk, Baby Time and Little Uns) must be booked in advance by contacting the relevant centre on the telephone numbers below.

Baby Time - Thursdays 1pm-2.30pm - Baby Time - parents and their babies enjoy messy play together.
Rossmere Children's Centre, Rossmere Way - Tel. 01429 292444
Active Play - Mondays 10.30am-11.30am - movement for active toddlers.
Baby Talk - Tuesdays 10am-11.30am - advice and support from the health team while the babies play together. Suitable for babies who are not yet walking.
Bookworm Babies - Tuesdays 10am-11am - action rhymes to music.
Time For Play - Tuesdays 1pm-2.30pm - a chance to try some new play activities.
Teddy Bears' Breakfast - Wednesdays 10am-11am - Bring along your teddy bear to this parent and child cooking session.
Little Uns - Wednesdays 1pm-2.30pm - a chance to join in some messy play, meet new friends and try a tasty treat.
Let's Get Cooking Summer Fruits - Thursdays 10am-11am - a chance for families to have fun cooking together.
Sing and Sign - Fridays 10.45am-11.30am - action rhymes to music.
Plus watch out for the special Community Games on Saturday 18th August from 11am to 2pm on Rossmere Field - fun and games for all the family.
