Hartlepool was proud and delighted to be chosen and host The Tall Ships Races 2010.  A fantastic programme of activities helped to make the event an unforgettable experience to all who came along and became a part of its success.

The Tall Ships Races 2010 was a fantastic opportunity for Hartlepool.  Nearly 1 million visitors from far and wide came to the event to watch the spectacle and enjoy England's biggest free event in 2010.  The event generated a staggering £26.5m for the local economy and the media exposure was immense, calculated as having a value of over £3m. 

Lets hope that those who came, will return and those who missed will have caught a glimpse of what Hartlepool has to offer through the media coverage and inspire them to make a visit.
